PITCH, the numbers are how many FRETS you'll go, up or down. Press the VALUE button to set the 

AMOUNT of PITCH SHIFT.

Want a sound like KORN, tune  your 6 string guitar in standard tune and set your AX1G "PITCH4" VALUE to -7.

And if you want a standard 7 STRING guitar set the VALUE "PITCH4" to -5 in a standard tune.

If you set VALUE (PITCH) to "-1" and the note selected is "E" it will  becomes to "D# or Eb")
