Okay, so you have this elf, a great character, on the registry board. Fun eh? Now were are gonna get him to be the high ruler of Kawin. A high goal, but easily doable. Lets get started.
Join a Clan
There are several clans to choose from. You might want to look over each one, and their winning records for the high palace, and their population, whatever you please.
Each clan has a Meeting Hall. This is the room where you'll be going first. The other rooms are Lounging Rooms(where everyone interacts), and Privite Chambers(bedrooms and bathrooms). But the Meeting Hall is open the entrance. There will almost always be an elf in there, waiting to greet everyone that comes in.
Its pretty easy, you walk in, and wait for someone to greet you. You say you want to join the clan, they ask if you have ever been in a clan. The Lord or Lady or Mentor talk to you for a while, then youre in the clan as an adoptive, which are people not born into the clan. If you marry someone in the clan(unless they an adoptive) then you are considered Family. If you have children that are born into the clan, then they are considered Family. But enough about that. Now youre in a clan; good eh?
If You Can't Battle
Now if you cant battle at all, you can basicly stop reading after this paragraph, cause this really is the only way you can get to the High Palace. You have to become really close to someone who will win and go to the high place. And give them reasons to bring you. Or you can just ask that characters RPer to have the character bring yours along. ;)
Training for the Trials
Before the trials start, your elf needs to train. It is good for your RP skills, even if you are really good to start with. Make sure you get armor and weapons, and then go to the Battle grounds, practice grounds. Before hand you might want to arrange another warrior in your clan to fight against you for practice. But if you cant find anyone, then you can just go and practice swings and lunges, and work on your agility and strength.
note: if you are a very good RPer, you must make sure to have your elf practice a lot, to show that they are good too, so it all make sense with the elves - cause if they dont practice they cant win.
The Trials
When Spring or Autumn hit, then its time for the trials. The first month of that season, each clan chooses its three champions. Those champions respresent them in the trials. Usually clans pick them out before the season, but they cant make it offical until the season starts. They spent the rest of that month training these three elves up as best they can. So if you prove yourself, then you get all the attention and training possible.
Then in the second month(real-life-week) of the season, every champion from all the clans gather together in the battle grounds. (the battle grounds board will be linked by then), and they battle. It is all scheduled ahead of time, and the schedules will be on the page. They fight it out, until the best two elves are found.
Then they, and the best elf from each clan(out of the three rep.s), go to the other villages, or the other village comes to them. Then the two best from each village, until one remains. These village to village fights are called the finals of the trials.
The Trip to the High Palace
Everyone goes back to their villages and clans until the end of the season. Then the best elf, and each clan representative travel to the high palace, bringing with them all the elves they want to. Either you win best of clan, or best overall; or you get brought along to the high palace.
FYI: The high palace is a big castle where you get to hang out and do whatever you want all the time. Its kind of magical and romantic, and there is no clan rivary here, to all the elves become really close.
When they get to the high palace, they meet up with last seasons winners. The clan representatives and their people have to leave to make room for the new reps. BUT, the overall winners stay for up to two years (four seasons), so there can be up to four high rulers there at one time. And sometimes older high rulers are asked to stay as advisors. Because the high rulers are the only ones that have to do any work. Which is only dealing with clan disputes and minor things.
