Introduction:
You are a scientist given the task of caring for our world.  One of the major issues facing the planet are disappearing animals.  Your mission is to scout out one of the animals about to disappear using the technology of the Internet to aid in your quest. Your mission is to learn more about one animal that is facing extinction and tell others about it by posting to a Web page dedicated to endangered species.

 

Task:
 The objectives of your mission are:

  1. to identify an animal that is an endangered species that you and your group mates have never heard of before
  2. to research the animal to identify basic information about the animal and its habitat
  3. to identify the dangers the animal is facing and possible solutions to help your animal
  4. to organize and arrange all the information collected and place in a web page so that others can learn about your endangered animal.

 

Process:

Explore the Internet to discover an endangered species that you haven’t learned about before.

Using various web sites, discover information about your endangered species.

Take notes on all information about your endangered species including habitat, lifestyle, characteristics, and why it is threatened.

Place all of this information into an html file.
