Children these days seem to be watching TV, or playing videogames more often than just sitting down and reading a good book. I'm not someone completely against television or videogames because I like them too, but there is something books have that TV and video games don't. It calls for a use of imagination. In a book, you come up with the world that the characters are living in based on what the author gives discriptively. WIth TV, all you have is boring sets(usually) although some movies can be very good with settings. Well, I'm not one of those children who watch TV for hours upon hours a day, although i do watch TV, but not to the extent that my siblings do. I enjoy books because they offer something that TV dosen't. And so I read alot of books, especially in the summer.
