You Were Meant For Me

(AN: My first "real" fic. Hope you all like it! Oh yeah I should tell you all this! Umm. This will be a song fic and this is gonna be my own way of doing it.)

Usagi steps out of the shower and wraps a towel around her and wipes off the mirror. She sees that her eyes are no longer red and puffy nor are they bloodshot from crying all night. She opened the Mirror/Medicine cabinet and took out a bottle of aspirin. It had been two weeks since Mamoru broke up with her and she still couldn't believe.

"Usagi I just don't think we should continue seeing each other "Mamoru murmured " Bu... But why? " **How could my Mamo-chan do this, after everything we have been through? ** "It's just well we were young and stupid when we first got together I just don't think we really thought this through. " Mamoru had stated as calmly as he could. "Didn't think it through?" Usagi "Are you ready Mamoru?" a girl that had walked up asked. "Yeah, just hold up a minute OK Reika?" Mamoru replied.  "Who is she?" Usagi asked innocently.  " A good friend of mine" Mamoru said as he was walking of to the girl. "Well I better get goin, Bye!" Mamoru had said while he and Reika got on his motorcycle. "Chow!" Reika said in an enthused voice. And of they went... Usagi Just stood there wondering what exactly happened while absentmindedly wiped away a stray tear.

But that was the past she told herself, and she slammed the cabinet shut. She took a glass and filled it with clear water and swallowed the two pills and washed it down with the water. She quickly dries her hair and goes to her closet to pick out her ansomble for the day. She had narrowed down her decision to a pare of khaki flares and a white spaghetti strap shirt with the blue border and in the middle of the shirt was the word princess written in bluish silver coursive with a blue bandanna. Her other choice was a pair of black Capri's with a red shirt which was backless with exception of two straps in the back that held the shirt together one was in the back of the neck and the other was in the middle of her back. The bottom part of the shirt ended in a triangle type shape. She ended up calling Setsuna. A fashion designer to help with the problem. Setsuna told her to pick the Khakis and spaghetti strap shirt with bandanna. Usagi quickly got dressed and put up her hair in the bandanna, so her hair which is now to her mid back was held out of her face but was still down. She had grown fond of her hair at that length and was glad she had cut. * "Are you sure you want to do this?" Minako had asked for the sixth time "yup, I have to do this" Usagi said in a determined voice. "OK here we go!" and Minako began cutting Usagi's hair. When it was finished Usagi quickly went to find Rei. When she did she found that Ami and Makoto were with her ** Great! Now I don't have to go traipsing through the city looking for them! ** Usagi had thought. Usagi showed of her new hairstyle and had gotten "ooh's" and "aah's" from the girls. "Tell me why you did this again" Rei asked. "Well you see.... " Sob "I had to." Usagi said in between sobs "why?" Makoto asked blankly "because Mamo-Chan always called me meatball head!!!... " Sob" and well I didn't want to remember him" Usagi finished and started crying histarickly...** Usagi went into the kitchen, opened the refrigerator and grabbed a can of slimfast. She walked out of the kitchen, slipped on her shoes and headed out of the door. Walking down the street Usagi quickly drank her slimfast and started to head toward the arcade. Usagi had planned on meeting Rei and Haruka there and would go shopping. Usagi felt cool air absorb her as she walked through the sliding glass doors of the arcade.
"Hey Usagi!" Motoki, The arcade manager chimed. " This air conditioning sure is a relief from the summer heat Haruka had said as she broke into the barely started conversation. "Come on now, we have a whole day of shopping planned no time for mindless chitchat" Haruka said as she was pulling Usagi out of the arcade. "Sorry if she seems a little rude Motoki, she just really wants to start shopping" Rei tried to excuse Haruka for her behavior. "Hey, its OK" Motoki said ... "OK! So where do you wanna go first?" Haruka asked looking at a map of the Juubuan shopping district. "Umm how bout.... Osap Jewelry? " Usagi offered "Oh OK." Rei said mindlessly "yeah I need to by Michiru a ring anyway." Haruka agreed.
"A ring?" Usagi asked "for what?" We have lived together for 12 months in Japan now and I wanted to give her a ring to show how much that means to me" Haruka said casualy. As they walked into Osap Jewelry, 
Rei noticed that Mamoru was shopping down a couple of store with chibi-usa. Rei poked Haruka in the back and pointed to Mamoru. Haruka got the clue and quickly made Usagi look at some rings in the opposite direction. Usagi had found a beautiful ring that she thought for sure would be great for Michiru.
It was a silver ring with a Light jade stone almost sea green, it had two silver dolphins in mid dive with sapphire eyes at the top. At the Bottom was a Mermaid with ruby almost garnet lips and turquoise eyes.
Usagi showed it to Haruka and Haruka emeadietly asked for the price it was $6oo but it was marked down for only one day from $1200 Haruka, of course, bought it. As soon as Rei saw that Mamoru and Chibi-Usa had left the district Haruka finally let Usagi leave the store. After that the went to a couple more stores. By the time they were done shopping they were totally broke and it was 3:00 p.m. So they all decided to go over to Haruka's place, a penthouse. When they got there it was totally dark and when Rei turned on the lights nine people jumped out and yelled "surprise!" "But what's the surprise?" Usagi asked "your birthday silly!" hotaru replied "But my birthday isn't for 3 weeks, why are we celebrating it now?" Usagi asked blankly "You'll find out!" Chibi-Usa burst out. Makoto ran into the kitchen and ran back out with a 4 layered cake with 19 candles.  Soon after they were lit Michiru came out with her violin and Haruka played the piano and they all sang happy birthday. Usagi quickly began opening presents after that. Setsuna had mad her a black and blue kimono, Michiru had bought her a beautiful Japanese fan, Haruka had bought her a few c.d.'s they were, Jewel: pieces of you; Savage Garden: the original and Affirmation and the Armageddon soundtrack. Hotaru had made her a picture of a kitty and a flower. Chibi-Usa had gotten her a book entitled: The legendary kingdom. Rei had bought her a necklace with a crescent moon on it. Minako had bought her a pair of pink platforms. And Makoto had cooked her a delicious batch of chocolate chip cookies. Ami had bought her a study guide and Molly and Melvin had bought her a Silver journal with black pages and silver edges the front of the journal had beautiful decorations and a lock. They key was a silver skeleton key. Usagi had thought she had finished all the presents when Hotoru and chibi-usa rolled out one last one it was pretty big and pretty heavy. Usagi opened it and saw that it was a 5 c.d. disk changer/ cassette player/ radio! It was from Usagi's parents and her brother Shingo. After every one but Chibi-usa and Usagi had gone into the kitchen chibi-usa gave Usagi one last present it was from Mamoru. She opened it up and it was a box, a black velvet box with midnight blue ribbons. Inside the box was a Silver choker with the name Serenity inscribed on it and a locket. The one Usagi had given to Mamoru when he went to America. " Are you guy's coming?" Minako asked standing in the doorway. "Yeah!" Chibi-Usa said and grabbed Usagi's hand and dragged her out of the apartment and met up with the others in the lobby. " I just ordered 2 cabs," Haruka said. "Two cabs are not enough for ten people " Usagi stated "but there are only eight people and four can fit into one cab "Ami replied. "Oh OK" Usagi said not really paying any attention.
The cabs got to the apartment building picked them all up and they were on their way to Usagi's place.
Now they were all in Usagi's bedroom. "Hurry up! I wanna listen to my c.d.'s Hurry, hurry, Hurry"
Usagi was squealing.  Finally when it was all setup they decided to turn on Jewel. And then they all sat on the bed some on the floor and began talking. "So... what have you guys been up to?" Setsuna asked "Oh nothing much besides you should know shouldn't you, I mean you are the Guardian of time and all!" Hotoru said. "True" Setsuna replied. After Talking for about 15 minutes A song titled you were meant for me came on. ***I hear the clock its six a.m. I feel so far from I've been. I got my eggs got my pancakes to. I got my maple syrup everything but you. I break the yokes and make a smily face. I kinda like it in my brand new place. Wipe the spots off the mirror don't leave the keys in the door. I don't leave the towels on the anymore cause dreams last so long hey but I think there gone. I know that you love me and soon you will see you were meant for me and I was meant for you. *** And suddenly Haruka turns of the C.D player before Usagi can start crying, but it was to late Usagi had already broke down. "Hey is any one up for a movie!?" Minako asked. "Usagi had stopped crying by then and said she wanted to go and then they all agreed to go now that Usagi was all right. Once they were at the cinema they had to figure out which movie to see. "Hmm... How about.... Save the last dance?" Michiru offered "OK I heard that it was really good!" And so they all got in line to buy their tickets. While they were waiting their turn to buy the tickets Rei saw Mamoru and Reika come out of the Cinema, then they stopped and started talking, then Mamoru got slapped by Reika. Reika then stormed of and called for a cab. Rei then started snickering then giggling then finally when she just couldn't hold it in anymore she burst out laughing and pointing at Mamoru. When he turned his head to see who was laughing all the girls saw the big hand print across his face and they too also started laughing. Mamoru smiled slightly seeing that for once he actually saw Usagi laughing.  Haruka had paid for the ticket and they all went into the theater. When the girls came out they were laughing and throwing leftover popcorn at each other all but Usagi. The movies just made her even more depressed. Makoto went and called 2 cabs and they were dropped off at their homes. When Usagi got to her house found a Bouquet of roses on her kitchen table and a card with a bunny on it next to the bouquet. The Card read: Usagi, please meet me at the park at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow. Love Always, Mamoru. ** Should I go? ** She decided she would go just to see what he had to say.
When Mamoru entered the park he saw a beautiful angel, his Usako. Usagi listening to her Jewel c.d. track 10: you were meant for me with her portable c.d. player. *** I called my momma she was out on a walk consoled a cup of coffee but it didn't want to talk  so I picked up the paper it was more bad news, more hearts being broken and people being used Put on my coat in the pouring rain. I saw a movie but it wasn't the same, cause it was happy but I was sad. It just made me miss you oh so bad cause dreams last so long hey but I think there gone and I love you and you love me and soon you will see you were meant for me and I was meant for you. I go bout my business I'm doin fine beside what would I say if I heard you were lying same old story now not much to say hearts are broken everyday. Could feel someone starring at her. She turned to see who it was. She saw that Mamoru was standing there starring at her. She stood up and walked over to him. "What did you need to see me about?" Usagi asked slightly mad that he as looking at her like that, like he loved her. " I... I..." Mamoru started. "You what?" Usagi snapped. ** she's so cold towards me** Mamoru thought. "I just wanted to tell you that I do love" Mamoru finally was able to say "and that I would like to know if you love me" "I do love you, it's just that you can't love me" Usagi choked out "it's impossible, remember you broke up with me." "I broke up with you because I thought you were unhappy with me , the way you act around Motoki made me feel that you didn't love me. I thought that maybe you just had a crush on me. I mean you were so young, only 14, I found that it was very possible and the way all these other guys act around you. You don't even try to stop them , you just invite them with your flirting and tossing your hair." Mamoru felt as if he could go on and on, but he didn't . He hadn't even noticed that he began to shed tears. "So I decided I should go find some one who did love me . Reika did but I didn't live her." Mamoru finished. "Then why didn't you tell me you felt like that instead of dumping me like a rock?" Usagi asked. "I don't know OK I am and idiot I've already figure that one out." Mamoru replied. Mamoru and Usagi continued their talk while circling the park a couple times. Finally the question came up. "" Usagi, now that we have everything figured out would you" Mamoru trailed of "would I what" Usagi asked. "Would you take me back?" Mamoru asked. "Of coarse Mamoru, I love you and nothing will ever change that!" Usagi smiled and jumped in his arms and gave him a big hug. Then she let go and kissed him fully on the lips. 
      
       The End! Wow! That took forever, I mean man! A whole two days. * I know I am very sarcastic*
