John Peters laid down on his couch, put his hands in the "frame" position in front of his face, and said "Ok....go!", waiting for Kevin to read the outline to him.  Well, Kevin wasn't quite prepared for this, thinking "What, you want me to tuck you into bed too?"  But, since he was a producer, he kissed his ass and read the outline to him.  After reading the outline, John asked Kevin if he wouldn't mind adding something.  He said "I like it, but there's not enough action.  This is an action movie, you need action happening every 10 minutes or the audience will loose intrest."  John suggested that Kevin add another fight sequence...at Superman's Fortress of Solitude.

"We need Brainiac, when he goes there, to fight someone.  Doesn't Superman have some kind of...guards there?"

Guards?  At the Fortress of Solitude?  Right.

"Yeah, yeah, we should have him fight...polor bears or something!"

"Polor bears?" Kevin asked.  "Why polor bears?"

"Well have you ever seen a polor bear?" Peters' asked, to which Kevin answered "not really."

"Well, I was watching the Discovery Channel, and the polor bear is on of natures' fiercest killers."

So, Kevin put in the fight sequence for John, as much as it pained him, and took it back for his review.  John, however, was still not satisfied.

"Okay, for the final battle sequence, how about this?  Brainiac has a giant spider attack Superman and his has to fight it.  A really big spider."

"Why a spider?" Kevin asked, wishing he hadn't.

"Well, have you ever seen a spider?" John asked.  Kevin just shook his head.  "Well, I went to one of my son's classes for some lecture, and this kid did a report on spiders, and spiders are one of the fiercest killers in the insect kingdom."

So, sadly, Kevin agreed to put in John Peters' giant spider.  After that, the script went through a few more revisions, a few different cast members and directors (Tim Burton was attached to the project for a short while) and finally found it's way to script limbo after Kevin's original script was thrown out and they brought in at least 6 more writers.

A few years after Kevin worked on the script, he went to the movies to see "Wild Wild West", produced by none other than John Peters.  While watching one sequence in particular, Kevin noticed something.

"Holy shit," Kevin said "He finally got his fucking spider."

After the Q&A session, Kevin showed the uncut version of the second episode of the Clerks Animated Series (before it even aired) and signed autographs.  It was then when we all got in line, took pictures and met Kevin.

On our way up to The Man, however, Mike Smith started talking to him.  A lot.  It was hear that we dubbed Mike "The Black Jason Mewes", as he started babbling in non sequitor about meeting Kevin before, walking down the street in Jersey, saying Kevin dropped a gum wrapper or something and Mike was yelling after him "Hey Kev!  You dropped your gum wrapper" as Kevin ducked into a bakery or something like that.  It was all completely made up, but Kevin seemed enraptured by the story, just grinning and laughing at Mike while he signed autographs for people, not quite paying attention to them or what THEY had to say to him, but more just watching Mike to see what he'd do next.  It was then (naturally) that we wanted to get a photo with Kevin.  He said yes, and while we were all lined up behind him for the pic, Mike was STILL talking.  We weren't quite sure if Kevin was looking at the camera or not, but if you look closely at the pic, you'll see that Kev's eyes quickly went to the photographer just in time, because he WAS looking at Mike talking.  His eyes seem to say "Hey, what was that flash?"

So, we met Kevin, got our picture with him, and Mike made a lasting impression on him.  Just another Morons outing.
