In the beginning there was nothing...really. Recognizing this, Wes K picked up his Mic with the intent to start something, a musical goulash of sorts. There was only one problem: Ian didn't know how to play the guitar. We also had no other musical contributors except.... Well no one. We started a band known as CheeseCake Riot (don?t ask!). We proceeded to do bad original tunes. Disheartened and tired of being terrible, we stopped. So much for "the revolution", right? But this wasn't the end. Oh no, this was no ending. It was just the beginning . . . While taking a break from being in a band during myfirst year at Sheffield, I had decided to quit recording music altogether and focus more on Advanced clogging. One day Ian said, " Hey quit being a spaz!" Consequently, we began to write and learn songs with each other. Apparently, a new band was beginning to form. Now with two vocalists, it was time for a rhythm section to be added to the band. In June, long time friend of Wes, His Pentium 2 stepped in on bass and dropped in for drums. Soon after the whole band had formed, Wes was on his way to Kentucky to win back the heart of his milk cow, Bertha.. Two days after Wes got back (after failing miserably), they recorded their first song (WSS) at the vault (AKA Wes's Basement). Well, all I can say is that I'm glad you weren?t there. We sucked.The rapping was horrible. We then started to have many disorganized practices in which we freestyled for a bit then watched some TV. Sound familiar?
Throughout the fall and winter of 2000, CheeseCake Riot learned to keep time. Because of this progression, we got notably better as a band. During this time we wrote a few songs but I refused to record them. Oh yeah, during this time we decided to change the name of the band to "Lung Butter"

April showers bring may flowers. What do Mayflowers bring? Penguins? No dumbass! Better quality Lung Butter songs. That's right, we actually improved. We wrote some new stuff. But all too soon spring ended, and so did our productivity. With summer comes more time to sleep in and boy did we know how to be lazy. Reality sucks. Then it happened. Wes went to his sisters "all girl" college in Stanton, VA and came upon a sign hanging on the door of an old sorority house. It read "House of the Freak Hoes". Wes thought to himself "How inspiring". He quickly came back home and immediately called Ian. It just so happened that Ian had a very slow day at work and started to belt out lines of nonsense on little pieces of paper. The lines were brought to the vault and soon music was made. We soon changed our name thereafter.
