| Jesus March 27 Yes, I said the J-word. I believe that with any good news, this too should be shared. So here is my opinion, like you could expect anything else. THE BIBLE I believe every word of the Bible. It may have been translated into many different languages, but those who translated were blessed by God to carry his word into a place where it has not been. Jesus said: "I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes away from this book of prophecy God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book." Revalation 22:18-19 Now if God is almighty as he seems to be, why would he let his book go years with a mistake in it and have his word falsely preached? I don't think so. THE SCARY PART Revalation 22:12a - "Behold, I am coming soon!" Yep, that's right, Jesus is coming back. Anyone heard of left behind? It is a great series by Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LaHaye. The freaky part is, it is based on a true story, that hasn't happened yet. How do I know? Remember that part about me believing the Bible? You guessed it, the whole story has been in in front of us for nearly 2,000 years. So what's going to happen then? Seven years of death, destruction, and the reign of the Antichrist (some quack who's going to proclaim that he's God). Somewhere in there we add the part where Jesus comes back, and takes his family with him and out of harms way. Cool, ya?? HELP!! You may be asking "I don't know Jesus! What can I do?" Well guess what? You have a chance! Guess what else? No money down and no weekly payments! That's right, free! Here's how... Pray. It begins, "Dear God..." (because Jesus is merely God in human form) tell God that you believe in him, that you are willing to serve him, and most important, that you have sinned, because all of us are sinners. Ask him to forgive you. It doesn't work if you aren't truely sorry, or if you don't put your heart into it. End with "Amen." Tada!! Congratulations! You have just excepted Christ into your life!! To start your new life with God leading, begin attending a Christian Church where you can learn more. Ask someone at work or school where you can find one. Or you can look for one yourself. WHAT'S THE CATCH? You may be asking now, "What did I just agree to?" You agreed to follow and serve God all the days of your life. To follow his ten commandments, and love him with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. You also agreed to a huge reward, eternal life in Heaven, (that's after you die) with God himself, where everything is good and wonderful. Sounds good to me! UM, MAYBE... | Attack on America Sep. 14 Yes. It was shocking. Yeah. It was horrific. Uh huh. It was a waste of perfectly good lives. Si. I am concerned about my relatives being called into the service. Mm hmm. I considered that the tribulation had begun. Yep. I will continue to pray. Certianly. I have sympathy. Yuh huh. I am edgy about taking a plane to Disney land. Oh yeah. I wish they blew up my school instead. No. I don't think we're going to war. Nah. I am not going to dwell on the incident for four years. Nuh uh. I am not going to cry for people I don't know. No way. I am not going to let Satan win. No. I won't let it interfere with my daily scedule. Nope. Will I continue to watch the same video footage over and over. Not even. Will I hide my religion in a time like this. |
