| carmina gardelica is the root town of the lamda server. the name of carmina gardelica means "the song of gael." a city you don't see much in .hack, but appears to be a popular spot to shop, talk, and meet. it's like a metropolis, a combination of scienc and traditional cultural knowledge. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| the net slum is, in a sense, a slum of old data and codes created by hackers like helba. in .hack//SIGN when they first visit the slum, there seems to be copies of tsukasa flying about. (really weird!) helba explained that like everytime something happened to him or that, in a sense, his character was rebooted, his data appeared there.
