Tigers vs Evergreen Shooting Stars - JAO

The 2nd "exhibition" game of JAO had the girls facing the Evergreen Shooting Stars.  Evergreen won the opening tap but that was pretty much all that they won all day.  The Tigers had control of the game from beginning to end.  The Evergreen team played hard but were overmatched by the skill/power/speed of the girls.

The first half was all Tigers.  A free throw by Jodi started a hailstorm of scoring led by Kris who tossed in a couple of 3's and mid range shots.  Add a 3 by Kayla, steals and layups by Emi, nice jumper from Erica and the girls had a 20+ point lead by half.  Lauren threw in a jumper just after the half buzzer sounded..  The Evergreen team struggled offensively but still played with heart.

The second half was all Tigers.  Didn't I just write that?  A couple of more 3's by Kris,  a barrage of baskets by Kayla, Jodi, Emi, and Lauren  and it was "No Mas".   Even the scorekeepers had a hard time keeping up with the constant scoring and thankfully turned off the scoreboard (well, they kept it on for some reason but didn't change the score)...  Final score by viewing the tape... 41 - 6. 

We should have saved a few of those points for this weekend's game against the Spirit.  A game for 1st place.  A game of revenge.  A game at the dreaded 9:00 a.m....  yikes.  Good luck girls.  Beat the Spirit!
