Sorry the blogger has not been posting recently but had issues at work and at home...

Anyway here is the readers digest versions of the past 3 games:

Mystifying the Mystics

Although I missed most of the first half due to scheduling conflicts, I hear Jodi had a VFW flashback and led the team in the first half by hitting shots from all over the court.  The 2nd half Emiko, Kayla and the rest of the girls kept the Mystics at arms length.  Coach Carlton had the Mystics playing tough defense but the girls hit enough shots to take the game 25 -21.  Congrats to the girls for taking down a solid 6th grade team. 

Spirts Driving Me To Drink The Spirits..

In a defensive struggle or offensive struggle (take your pick), the Spirits pulled the game out in sudden death o/t.  This is a game the girls had for the taking but could not get into any rythm offensively with the Spirits half court trap defense and the officials blowing their whistles constantly..  The girls had plenty of opportunities to win this game but stuggled offensively.  What can you say, it was just one of those games.  But we'll see them again shortly..  The girls lost this 14 -13 or 13 -12 or 12 - 11 or... 

Sabers "Microwaved"..

The game vs. the Sabers was a big morale boost for the girls.  Jodi "the microwave" heated up real quick in the first half and led the team in scoring with a combo of outside shots and drives in the first half.  The girls defense made it tough on the vertically challenged Saber girls to score.  The 2nd half had Emiko, Kris, Kayla, Jodi and Kristen getting scores in bunches.  And with Lauren and CC playing good defense and Erica doing all the hustle stats this resulted in a easy victory for the girls.  Final score 31 - 10.
