PAHILA PAAUS

aaj ti hoti aanhi pahilaa paaus padalaa,
paanhi angaavar padale,
panh gaaravaa manaas jadalaa!
paavasache ole themb,
tilaa sparsh karun gele!
tichyaa barobar che te kshanh,
manaat ghar karun gele!
tichyaa pratyek shabdaatun,
moti ase jhadat hote !
tichi taarif karataanaa,
shabda fike padat hote!
madhyech viz kadaalali,
janhu prakaashaachi aatish !
tichaa saathhitali vilakshanha ashi,
aamachi hi pahili baarish !
ajun kaay lihu?
shabda fike padataat !
aata toch anubhav dyaayalaa,
jal megh manaat daatataat !

KUCH SHER

tum se milne ki aas le kar,
tumhari tanhai ki pyaas mein ji kar
tere pyaar ke baarish mein kho kar,
badalo ke bandhano ko cheer kar,
aaya hein yeh "dinkar"

halki si baarish,
bus itni si hai khwayish
is dil ki pyaas ko ,
mitane ki hai gunjaayish

cham cham karti baarish ki boondo ka shor,
chalo pakde ,jo hai humaare dil ka chor
saath mein naachne lagee mor,
Still ,Yeh dil maange more

EK GHAZAL

tu nahi to dum bhar ka bharausa nahi
meri jindagi ke raat ka kahi sawera nahi

yeh aansu ke badhenge chhale har nafas
jakhm ki muh par khoon ka thikana nahi

na hogi takat chalne ki,na chalna aayega
tum nahi to jaise ek pyase ke liye kahi pani nahi

na hogi roshani,roshani,na hoga khuda ,khuda
yeh chand, chand nahi,tu nahi to fir suraj nahi

hoga yeh anjam jindagi ka,is shayari ka
kisi bachhe ki ho jaye maut,maatam ka aagaz bhi nahi

phulo ke khilane pe aayega rona,hansi aansu layegi
yun wiran hoga yeh saharaa,jaise tufaan ka bhi basera nahi

IN THE RAIN

The rain pounds against the window
in a barrage of unsettled emotions
running down the glass like tears
from painful memories that forever
grip the heart and smother the shine
of the sun in a cloudy veil
darkening the skies and leaving
the lonely to cry in the shadowed
corners of their mind, lost in
a miserable existence between
life and death, denying the sweet
smell of spring rains, drowning
in the pool of muddied memories.

RAIN

Welcome, the Great Rain
So striking, in your presence as well as absence
Enriching our lives with your essence
You cool down our days, as a summer evening shower
And wash away our homes, with torrential monsoon power
You fail to show up at times, we waiting forever
You take on the mighty sun, giving the colorful rainbow
we stand in wonder, watching through our window
You have launched a thousand poems, there is no dearth
Adored by the whole world, yet so down to earth

Unch unch zula
aakashasi bhidala
sukha-dukha hindola
jhulavi jasa zopala

Kadhi saukhya mothe,kadhi dukha bhete
Kadhi hasya nabhi ghe bharari
kadhi phul hati,kadhi hati kate
Kadhi dasya avachit padari
raviraj timirat budala,vatahi kalokhya zalya
Uncha uncha zula, aakashasi bhidala

Kadhi manasi ya udasi,kadhi trupti yete ghashasi
kadhi kal yeto avela,kadhi jati taluniya vela
hatat kahi na aapulya,ha khel sara nirala

FROM THE DESK OF EDITOR

This is the 5th edition of GULDASTA.
Though very less poets contributed to it but still
I am very hopeful that u would like it.
More enthusiasm and energy is needed.
I know we all have lots of work to do,
but still I feel writing some few lines
on weekend is not that difficult.
The force of desire is required.
Still there are some of us,
who didnt contribute to any edition of GULDASTA yet.
I guess we should move their names to reader's list.
I expect that for the next edition,out of we 32,
all 32 will contribute in some way.
Its not important what you write and how long
but that you write something for GULDASTA every week.
For this edition,the topic was "rain/baarish".
Though its not compulsory to write on the same topic,
write anything,whatever you feel like.
While sending poems in regional languages(Marathi,Tamil etc.),
Please send translation along with the poem.
Hope we will have poems from all of you for the next week's edition.
