KASHMIR - EK KAVITA

Kesar ki ghati mein sundar phoolon ki tasveer ki ,
Baat chhidi phir aaj jahan mein hai apne Kashmir ki ,

Santalis ki Nehru wali galti ab bhi yaad hume ,
Pakistaan ki gaddari ki deni hogi daad hume ,
Tujh par buri nazar jo dale hum wo aankhein har lenge
Chahe America aa jaye ya roke Bagdaad hume ,
Cheekhein goonjeingi ghaati mein phir dushman ki peer ki ,
Baat chhidi phir aaj jahan mein hai apne Kashmir ki .

Yeh sune jamaate islaami aur lashkar ke rangroot sabhi,
Soraj paschim se nikle yeh na ho payega kabhi kahin,
Abdul Hamid ke desh mein Jinna phir se janam nahin lega,
Hai paidaish mein khot teri karta peeche se vaar tabhi ,
Teri fansi ke phande ki hathon ki janzeer ki ,
Baat chhidi phir aaj jahan mein hai apne Kashmir ki .

Humne videsh ke laalon ko apne beton sa paala hai ,
Ghar ki doli par ghar ke hi bhedi ne daaka daala hai,
Jo kirit mere Bharat ka hai raaj tilak sa Vidyamaan,
Pavan dharti ka Girja hai tu Masjid aur Shivaala hai,
Jo rekha apne haathoon mein ban baitha hai takdeer ki,
Baat chhidi phir aaj jahan mein hai apne Kashmir ki .

YEH HUMARA KASHMIR HAI

Keshar ke jahan baag hain, aur har taraf hai phool khile,
Pak, thandi hava main, hai khushboo aur sangeet mile,
Aman aur Khoobsurati ki, yeh bemisaal tasveer hai,
Yeh Hamara Kashmir hai, Desh ki Taqdeer hai..

Jannat ki is Ghaati mein, Dal jheel ke kinare hai,
Mohabbat ke geet gaate boathouse aur Shikare hai,
Gali Gali mein jahan ek Ranjha aur ek Heer hai,
Yeh Hamara Kashmir hai, Desh ki Taqdeer hai..

Hindu muslim sikh isaai, sabhi pyaar se rehte hai,
Ek doosre ke kushi aur gam, milke sab sehte hai,
Sab dost hain, sab bhai hai, pandit, maulvi, fakeer hai,
Yeh Hamara Kashmir hai, Desh ki Taqdeer hai..

Ise hatiyane ke liye padosi ne wahan ek jang chedi hai,
Nasamjh desh ke khokhale dimaag ki yeh naapaak bedi hai,
Humse kabhi juda ho sakta nahi, yeh patthar ki lakeer hai,
Yeh Hamara Kashmir hai, Desh ki Taqdeer hai..

Apni mohabbat aur badappan ki daad dete log thakte nahi
Magar Mar jayenge, mit jayenge, kashmir kisiko de sakte nahi,
Bahaduri aur kurbaani mein yeh desh bahut ameer hai,
Yeh Hamara Kashmir hai, Desh ki Taqdeer hai..

THE LOST PARADISE

Kashmir ....Then:

Miles of verdant greenery,
gently undulating, lap of nature;
shimmering sunlight-
casting a golden streak
amidst the snow-capped mountains;
the cool zephyr
rustling through the leaves;
the humming butterflies
wafting in thin air;
the distant clouds
breezing across the sky;
the unbridled silence
nestling in the ambience.

Kashmir....Now:

A thick miasma
hangs in the air,
of misery,distrust,unhappiness;
gunshot rips apart
the fabric of tumultuous life
rendering unfathomed chasm
in the marrow;
fear lingers in the heart,
sucking 'the life' out of living
laying bare 'a timid corpse'.
Humanity cries in agony,
democracy dies everyday
at the altar of terrorism,
anarchy has its unbridled reign.

The poet shrieks in anguish-
where is the lost paradise?

KUCH SHER

Main zamane se juda nahi.
ye zamana mujhse juda nahi..
fir kyon putchte hain log
tumhara hal kaisaaa hai !

Dhoondte hain hum bhi apne aap ko
jhist nahi takdir nahi koi arju bhe nahi
bandagii hai ye ashiqui ke shayadd..
maut ke baad bhi bedeli ki nahi

WHEN THE HEAVEN WILL BECOME HEAVEN AGAIN?

Like the silence of midnight,
The scorching sun
after the snowfall,
Walking on a fire,
In the middle of
the glowing pleasant flame
the shadow of darkness
Kashmir is a hole
made in my heart.

The bloodbath there
and everyday I die here.
The fire in my eyes
burns me within.
Empty handed
standing in
the middle of nowhere
expecting the peace
to come back to this heaven.

Wheels of days and nights
not pulling this chariot ahead,
Folding my feelings
in the speechless eyes,
the tears of blood
the endless journey
from the horizon to horizon,
darkness to darkness.
When will be stopped?
When this will change?
When the heaven will become heaven again?
When the heaven will become heaven again?

FROM THE DESK OF EDITOR

I am feeling happy in sending u all the 13th edition of Guldasta.
The topic for this edition was 'Kashmir'.
Though,only few of us could contribute but I understand,
its coz of lack of time,and not coz of lack of interest.
The idea of rating system is dropped.
We will not be having rating system.
Also,Regarding the meeting of all members and organizing a kavi sammelan/mushaira ,
I will let u know very very soon.
The idea behind the rating system was to get a proper feedback about our work.
So,please keep giving feedback,not necessary just criticism,but compliments too.
