TAJMAHAL'S PHOTO GALLERY
The Taj Mahal was designed as a tomb for the wife of the 17th-century Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan. It was constructed by more than 20,000 workers from 1631 to 1648 in Agra, a city in northern India. The bodies of Shah Jahan and his wife remain in the vault below the building.
