What we are up to
We love to do fun stuff like tramping and kayaking. Come see what we have done recently & whats coming up soon!
About Us

So, this is our introduction.

Currently we have 9 rangers and one leader. We meet on Monday nights from 7-9, having lots of fun as often as we can.

Some of the things we have done in the last year include:

  • Tramping the Abel Tasman Coastal Track and then spending a day Sea-Kayaking
  • Visiting the  Karori Wildlife Sanctuary for a night-time walk and seeing Kiwi, Tuatara and Brown Teal
  • Having an overnighter before Dawn Service on ANZAC day
  • Camping in the Mt Holdsworth area, doing a day tramp (where we got snowed on) and then river crossing our way hom

Coming up for the rest of this year:

  • Queens Guide Award Presentations for at least 2 unit members
  • Jamboree '08 in Christchurch in January.
  • Silver and Gold YNZC / DoE tramps

We are always looking for new members to join us, so if you are a girl at high school, or aged 13-18 years and are interested in the outdoors, service, challenging yourself and making new friends, this could be the group for you. You do not need to have been a guide before, we will take anyone who is willing to have a go.
