At school we had a technology week (so insane) in which we done lots of technology-like thingehs. On Monday we watched a thing about the Enigma machine, a machine used by Nazis in WW2 to make codes, then we did a code thingy in maths. On Wednesday we had History and we did about spy gadgets, which we also did on Thursday. ON Thursday there was a rocket there. A small rocket, yet a rocket none the less. 'Twas the one in this article --> BBC News | SCI/TECH | Rocketeer launches from Morecambe.   On Friday 'twas a 'Space Fashion Day' where people dressed up as things related to space. I didn't. Wasn't bothered to be creative, and since when did I need to dress up to be alien-like anyhoo? We also did the egg dropping thing. For more information read on.

Our Task
Anyhoo, in our science lessons we had to work in groups to design and make a contraption that could get an egg safely from the roof to the ground without cracking. We were all given a price list (see below) and whoever made the cheapest design that prevented the egg from cracking wins a prize, a prize of which I am not sure.

I was in a  group with (alphabetically to avoid any petty conflict) Beckoi, Charloi and Teff, also, of course, myself.  We worked as a team to make our device as cheap as possible, yet still serve it's purpose excellently. Then I took it home and tested it, at first it did nae work, but after a few adjustments it did! We got the price down to 14p.

The Event
'Twas Friday afternoon, last lesson and we were all doing the final preperations. Our teacher went on to the school roof, which is only one storey high, with our egg - saving devices complete with eggs already installed. Ours would be dropped lasta s it was the cheapest. We watched each one be hurled off the edge, one by one, some broke, some didn't. Then it came to ours. Our teacher broke the egg before she even dropped it!! So we had to run and get another, then she broke that one too. by this time our parachute had got soggy with egg and HAD A HOLE IN IT. So we sellotaped it up, all annoyed. Then we all watched as our thing was dropped. It slowly fell to the ground, then the egg rolled out, but, alas!, it did not break!!!! We had won!! Well, we had the cheapest in the class anyhoo. We do not yet know about the whole yeargroup, but after all the mishaps, we were pretty lucky!
