LINK
Link is the hero of time, winds, light, and of the game series. His trademark is his green tunic, which he wears in every game. He's usually not without his famous weapon, the Master Sword, in any of the games. He usually uses it to deafeat the evil Ganondorf. Link is also the bearer of the Triforce of Courage. Link is usually designated to be a teenager, roughly around the age of 12. His oldest has been in his late teens, such as 18 or 19, in games such as Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess. The only Zelda game where it is the same Link as the previous game is Majora's Mask, which is a chronological sequel in the storyline as well as in the game's release.
PRINCESS ZELDA
Zelda is the princess of the beautiful land, Hyrule, and is often captured by the evil Ganondorf. She is the bearer of the Triforce of Wisdom, and is allegedly the Sage of Time in Ocarina of Time. She isn't always the object of rescue, however. In Majora's Mask, she isn't even in the game except for a brief flashback that Link has. Though she usually has a big role in mostly all the games.
GANONDORF
Ganondorf is the King of Evil and the bearer of the Triforce of Power. By his malicious look, it's needless to say that he is the main villain in the series. Although he's not the only enemy, he is the most common and the most known. The only weapon that can defeat him is the Master Sword.
SARIA
Although appearing in only one game, Saria is a popular character from Ocarina of Time. She starts off as Link's friend and turns out to be the Sage of Forest. She gives Link his first Ocarina, the Ocarina of Time.
ARYLL
Yet another one-game character, Aryll is still a popular one. She appears in Wind Waker, the first Zelda game on Gamecube, and is one of two games were the players "meet" members of Link's family (the other is Link to the Past).
