$1 Million
Katy Betz

If I had a million dollars, I would not let it change my life too much.  I would keep some of it for my family to finish the addition were working on.  I would still work and Id still have a sense of what money is.  I would not spend it all on some meaningless material thing that will soon be forgotten about.  I would pay for my parents and myself to be able to take a sport trip around the world.  We would bike, walk, and canoe all over beautiful countryside.  I would also donate a large portion of the money to either finding a cure for Parkinsons disease, the Augusta Burn Center, to find a cure for Breast Cancer, or to the church.  Im sure I wouldnt miss that money as much as the families miss their loved ones who died from these diseases.

I would then put all of the money I had left into the bank to gain interest and pay my way through one of the best colleges.  I would not give any money to my friends.  This is not because Im greedy or selfish, its because I dont want my friends to become dependent on me and then not be able to make it alone in the world.  Last of all, I would keep some of the money in the bank and not take it out until either my children or my grandchildren go to college or I retire.  I would buy some stocks with this money, but mostly just let it gain interest.  I hope if I ever do get one million dollars, I will not let it ruin my life and I will stay kind.
