HTML Level 1 Week 4 Lets Validate!

Finally after 3 weeks of despair a reason to sort of enjoy html. Not love, but, hey those validators are impressive. I used the first one listed, it was ok, but my pages came back with bunches of errors caused by my webhost, I found some of mine but the first pages I checked were mostly script put on the pages by geocities. I wasn't exactly thrilled. I read farther thru the lesson, and discovered there were some validators that you could download, and that if you had a lot of different sites that could be worth your while. I continued reading and finally a free downloadable program, I think it was the last one mentioned called TagCheck. I figured it was worth a shot, and I am so glad. This awesome little program, checks your script, allows you to fix it right there, saves it, tidies it up and it's fast too. In my other class I'm taking in PSP Exploring Features we've diced and sliced some images and PSP wrote the codes for us so I have one webpage with an incredible amount of scripting on it. Guess what, all that script passed TagChecks validation. More surprising was the number of errors I found all on my own. I found a bonaza of errors on weeks 5 and 6 for my PSP class last session. I had a blast with that little free program TagCheck. Thanks! I also visited Bobby and found my way to the pages that tell you the speed of your pages for others and that was a nice feature.

Hey that little TagCheck is even more awesome than I first thought I played with it again this morning and what a great program! When it finds the mistakes for you in one window, if you hilight that mistake and click on it, tada, the hilight moves into the upper window to show you where to make the correction. So this afternoon I revisted the big program and surprise, surprise, or no surprise, my pages validated. Whew what a relief and it sooo simple thanks to that free program. I try the free things! :) Now then let me ask straight out if anyone here uses their editor called PageBuilder? If so, how do you like that program? Is it easy, read painless, to use? You can visit them at
