This is a piece I drew of David Segui, his son Cory and his Father, Diego. I entitled it "Generations" because of the history surrounding Diego and David. Diego Segui threw out the first ever Seattle Mariner pitch...he was the inaugural day starting pitcher in April of 1977 in the Kingdome. He was also one of the starting pitchers for the beginning of Major League baseball here in Seattle, as one of the Seattle Pilots. Cory Segui, in the recent closing ceremony for the Kingdome, threw out the last ever Kingdome pitch. So baseball has come full circle here in Seattle, thanks to the Segui family. It is my sincere hope that you like this piece and its significance as much as I do. Thanks for checking it out.
As an added note....I am currently working on a re-do of this particular drawing.  The one you see here, was given to David in October of 1998 as a gift. Althought this one is in color, the one I am working on is a black and white version. I will be posting it as soon as it's finished...so stay tuned.Once again, thank-you for your interest in my work and make sure to check out some of my other pieces of artwork in the Gallery section of my homepage.
