DISCLAIMERS

BROWSERS

This site uses lots of DHTML (e.g., CSS, javascript) like hover (focus), scrolling (all script), and that popup text in mutant page (which fully works only in Opera 7 until other browsers include advanced css2 functionalities.) So, this site is best viewed in CSS2.1-compliant browsers like Opera, and maybe Mozilla/Netscape and other newer browsers.

In other words, visitors using Internet Explorers will not get the best experience from this site (for example hovering doesn't work), because script is harder to code than CSS. Many of these things are so simple in concept that it shouldn't take script to accomplish them: again hover is best example. Nevertheless, I'm always trying to get better in script and css, although they will always aim at Opera first since they allow the most CSS effects.

Hover over the underline parts to get a sample of the dynamic HTML in action. The purple and blue text (javascript) should show up in most browsers under the index. (I'm using a recursive function, but it seems shaky in javascript. In its current form, this script only works for Opera for some reason. I guess Opera javascript execution ain't that bad after all ;-) ) The black text above the bottom link (CSS2.1) will appear in Opera 7 only.

With CSS3 browsers (e.g. Opera 7, maybe Safari 1.2), the title on the front page resembles the FFL2 title screen as seen on the Gameboy. This is done with generated content as an image replacement technique.

Another awesome effect is the balloons around these paragraphs which are missing in IE and older browsers, where you can only see square borders. See example image enclosed in borders.
