Glad that Kero was spending the night at Tomoyo's, Sakura silently went to bed. She took the small bear in her arms and held it close. "Does he still
remember me" she asked it ' I should have told him!' she thought to herself angrily. Holding the bear tighter she let sleep claim her. "aishiteru... Syaoran..."
she whispered as her final tear fell on the bear she held so dearly.
A voice said through the intercom, 'After 5 years... im finally coming back.' Syaoran was the only guy on this flight from Hong Kong. Even the pilot was a woman. And it was just his luck that there happened to be students from an all girl school goin on a fieldtrip with him. The flight was a very uncomfortable one for him. He has noticed all the ladies staring at him... basically irritating him... flirting, "accidently" bumping him, "accidently" dropping things and picking them up again. He sighed and looked out the window. He looked at the moon and closed his eyes, hoping to catch a short nap before their arrival in... 15 minutes. As he closed his eyes he saw a girl. A girl about his age wiping away a tear while holding a bear tightly in her arms. He quickly opened his eyes. "Sakura..." he whispered.
Syaoran looked at the seat his carry-on was on and sighed thinking of the past... five years ago. He still calls himself a baka (a/n:idiot) for how he treated
her when they first met. "Like a complete baka" he muttered. A young lady in a red outfit and dark hair looked at him from across the aisle with a confused
glance. He mumbled an apology. And he remembered the last time he saw her....
"Is it for me?" she whispered. He had just nodded and handed it to her. "Sakura... i..."
"oh Syaoran!" Sakura stepped up and held him tight. "I'm going to miss u!" she cried silently with her head buried on his chest as her tears she tried so hard to hold back flowed freely.
"i'll miss u too..." he muttered into her hair as a solitary tear fell, which he hoped she wouldnt notice as he held her tighter, tentavely stroking her hair...
Syaoran looked out at the moon once again as he sighed.
"Five minutes to arrival..."
"Your up early." Aiden put down a plate of chocolate chip pancakes and smiled down at his daughter. (a/n: i like the name Aiden better than Fujitaka on the grounds that its one of my fave names!)
"I dont believe this!" Tory came down the stairs and looked shocked beyond belief at seeing his little sister up so early ing the morning and no a schoolday too. (a/n: yea i like Tory too!)
"Sit down and eat your breakfast Tory." Tory patted Sakura's head "Good little doggy" before taking his seat to eat. Sakura didnt even bother to ht him back
Sakura silently walked to school, taking her time sice she isnt running late. It was a beautiful spring morning, flowers were slowly starting to bloom and music sung by birds filled the air. Sakura smiled at the people who waved and greeted her.
"Sakura!" Sakura turned and watched as her best friend came running towards her. "Hi, your dad said that u left early. I couldnt believe it" Tomoyo laughed as she brushed back a lock of her deep violet hair that fell on her face despite the headband she wore.
They were passing Penguin Park when Sakura had a flash back of the past. Her lower lip trembled and her emerald eyes filled with tears. "Sakura? Are u alright?" She only looked away.
"Its probably cause she just missed me!"
Syaoran got up a bit early to walk to school. ' wonder if ill see her...' he hasnt told any of his old friends about his arrival so he slowly walked to school byhimself. suddenly he felt a familiar pink aura and folllowed it. From a distance he saw Tomoyo and Sakura walking together. His heart skipped a beat as he focused his mind into memorizing how she now looks like. You would think that after five years they would forget how one or the other looks... even with pics.... but then all Syaoran has to do is close his eyes to see her smiling face again. As for Tomoyo... he doubts that anyone has the same color hair as her so he was sure it was her.
'Should i go up to them?' he sighed. "Sakura..."
Her few tears that fell were evident but Kero was geing naive and concietedly vain about himself for the sheer enjoyment of it. "It's okay Sakura. Im here now." Tomoyo laughed as she told Kero to go home since they had to go to school. Kero flew off after giving Sakura another 'hug'.
Suddenly Sakura turned her head feeling a familiar aura but it disappeared as soon as she sensed it. Only one person had that aura... one that felt strong and confident and yet soft and gently (like the toilet tissue!!). Sakura sighed as a lonely tear trickled down her cheek.
"Syoaran..." she whispered.
"Sakura?" Tomoyo said caringly "what is it?" Sakura never told her best friend how much she missed Syaoran or her feeling for him . I guess u can say that it was pride, but no words needed to pass between them. It was always evident how much they cared and loved each other and Syaoran leaving devistated her she wasnt the same Sakura but i different one. She was replaced by a still cheerful bubbly person but now she had the other side of her that only her few close friends now off. Her pain that she carries and of the loss she had five years ago... Sakura touched a silver necklace that hung on her neck. and her hands wrapped around the pendant. It was a necklace Tomoyo had given to Sakura as a christmas gift the same year he left. It was off a sakura blossom with a head of a wolf as a foreground to it. "im sorry Tomoyo... it's just that everything seems to remind me of him."
Tmoyo gave her friend a hug. "we all saw how he looked at you Sakura we all saw that he did love you."
"then why hasnt he ever said anything?!" sakura demanded although she already knew the answer.
"he probably thought it was better left unsaid since he was gonna be leaving and didnt want to hurt u. besides ... you werent completely over Yukito yet.."
"im such a baka! why couldnt i tell him?!"
"Come on Sakura were going to be late for school.."
bang
Syaoran wasnt looking at where he was going and slammed into a couple walking. "Gomen" the three said in unison. Syaoran recognized the couple. The girl with the brown braids and the boy with slits for eyes. "Chiharu? Takashi?! is that really you?!"
"yes... and u are...omg!canitbereallyyouomg!!!" Chiharu grabbed Takashi's arm until he cried out in pain. "gomen"
"please dont tell anyone im back." the couple gave him a curious look. "i want to surprise... someone"
"aye man at least we got to see u !" Syaoran gave them a small smile and told them goodbye as he walked off.
'Holy cow... Hong Kong got him looking....DAAAAAAAANG?!' Chiharu smiled to herself 'Sakura is one lucky person' Takashi laughed as he took his girlfriend's hand "he's here for Sakura isnt he?!"
"isnt it obvious? every since he left Sakrua hasnt been the same and everyone could tell he loved her all those years..."
Takashi smiled. "yea... wow." something caught his eye. " aye u know the idea for a mailbox goes back to prehistoric--"
"takashi!!"
"what?!" he asked innocently.
"shut up!" Chiharu took his hand and walked in the same direction that Tomoyo and Sakura had taken.
"i heard that he was freakishly ugly"
"no way! i saw him at the office and he is SOOOOOOO fine!"
"and i wonder what u were doin in the office?"
"CLASS!!!" muffled whispers could still be heard. Sakura thought she had heard the words 'new student' and 'Hong Kong' but she wasxnt very attentive. she sighed as she touched the picture on her pendant her finger tracing over the imprint of the wolf. there was a knock on the door "and that must be the new student now." talking erupted from the class once again as sakamoto-sensei let the new student in. the class went silent as the new student entered. Curiously Sakura looked up. What she saw made her jaw drop and hit the desk.
"you both lied!! he isnt ugly or sexy! HE IS DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!"
Yup even i would hafta agree. there in front of them stood a tall not quite typical 16 year old male of the human species. Being trained both pyhsically and mentally since he was able to crawl... his body screamed perfection. Every muscle on his body was defined, his messy hair made him look even more adorable and those eyes... those thoghtful hard gazing eyes that softened once it caught sight of someone i particular. 'Li Syaoran' the teacher wrote on the board. all the while Syaoran never allowed his gaze to leave Sakura.
"omigosh!" she whispered under her breath. the class got started on the talking and making noises thing again. "CLASS" the teacher was practically turning red and purple from yelling to be quiet. didnt help. the class was still talking. "we need someone to tour Li around the grounds until he is able to get better aquanted with his surroundings. how about..." the class went dead quiet."kinomoto. Yes, you can have the honor."
"aw man... fist day and hes gets to spend it with SAKURA" the class started talking loudly again. It just got louder as Syaoran walked towards the ony empty desk in the class. behind Sakura. He gave her a small smile before taking his seat.
Sakura was glad she was sitting. cause if she was standing while he gave her that smile she was sure she would have fallen from weak knees or failure
of the heart as it stopped when he smiled...
"its good to be back" he had an impulse to kiss her but she turned her hear and he watched from behind as she wiped the tear away. He was about to
raise his hand to touch her but stopped himself. afraid that the angel in front of him was just an illusion and was fragile enough to break at a single touch..
'its better not too... at least its nice to be back... as long as shes... here with me'
