A row of empty soda cans sit on a wooden fence. One by one each fell as an elemental source hits them. The first to fall was hit by a lightning bolt, the second by water, and the third by fire. As the three cans tumbled down to the ground a wind source stops their course and carries them safely back to the top of the fence. Syaoran turns around as he hears footsteps approach him. "I thought you might be a bit thirsty. You've been training all morning and could use a break." Syaoran's oldest sister was holding a tray with a pitcher full of orange juice and two glass cups. "You've been training a lot lately." "Yes, I have." Syaoran looks at the ground as he sips his juice. "You seem a bit troubled brother. What's wrong?" Her youngest sibling looked up at her and stubbornly shouted,"Nothing's wrong, everything's just fine!" He breathes in deeply then sighs. "I'm sorry. I don't know what's gotten into me, or what's wrong." His sister looks at him with a worried expression on her face. "It's them again isn't it?" Syaoran hesitates then slowly nods his head. " Yes, I guess it is. I miss my friends in Japan so much." "All of them, or maybe just one. Sakura perhaps?" Syaoran blushes at the mention of her name. "Syaoran, it's been five years since your last visit to Japan. You're still in contact with them and you're on the phone with Sakura every two nights. Did you know that those phone calls send our bills sky rocketing?" He nods his head and looks down again. "I know that you miss them, but we need you here. Why don't you just find a nice Chinese girl around here to be your girlfriend and stop being so stubbornly sad." Syaoran lifts his head and glares at his sister. "How can you say that?! I love Sakura and I just wish I can be with her again! My beautiful little cherry blossom with her emerald green eyes who's always happy. When I was with her I could always feel her warm aura glowing with happiness around me." 'Oh, Syaoran.' "Look Syaoran. I know how you feel about Sakura and I'm sorry I got you all worked up, but we really do need you here." *sigh* "I know, I know." Syaoran stands up and walks towards his room. 'I hope you'll be alright dear brother. We need you here, but I wish you were happy.'

*sigh* 'I wonder what Syaoran's doing right now...' "Earth to Sakura." "Hoe?" "Thinking about a certain someone again, I see." Tomoyo giggles as her best friend blushes a deep crimson red. "Oh, Tomoyo. I just miss Syaoran so much. It's been five years since I last saw him!" Sakura bows her head as her eyes turn sad. "I still don't know what you see in that gaki," Kero says as he peeks out of Sakura's bag. "Kero-chan, you're supposed to be quiet when we're at school." "Hey, why don't you try being stuffed into a bag all day and see how you like it!" Sakura sweatdrops and Tomoyo giggled. As they turn the corner someone bumps into Sakura. "Ouch! Hey, watch where you're... oh, Sakura. It's you!" "Oh, hi Jake!" Jake thought his knees were going to collapse at the site of Sakura and her beautiful green eyes. "I'm sorry for bumping into you like that, Jake. I guess I was too busy talking to Tomoyo to watch where I was going." "Oh, it's OK Sakura. I wasn't really watching where I was going either." ^oomph^ "Jake, why are you just standing there? Huh? Oh, hi Sakura, Tomoyo." "Hi Sapphire, Diamond." Sapphire chuckles as Diamond giggles. "We'll see you in class Jake." "Huh? Uh, yea. Okay." *muffled talk* "Um. Well, we have to go now. See all of you in class. Bye." Sakura grabs Tomoyo and they rush around the corner as Kero pops his head out of the bag. "Kero-chan! You're supposed to be quiet and stay hidden. We almost got caught that time!" "Sorry about that Sakura. It's just that I couldn't breathe in there this time." *sigh* "We were lucky this time. Be a bit more careful okay Kero?" "Yea, okay." "Tomoyo, why are you giggling?" "Well... I think Jake was going to ask you something when grabbed me and sprinted away." "Hoe? Really? Oh, now I feel bad." "Don't worry about it. Hey Sakura?" "Yea?" "I was wondering. Would you ever consider going out with anyone soon? I mean, it's been five years since Syaoran was here last and I was just wondering if you would try being with someone new." "You can't mean that! I love Syaoran and he's the only one I want to be with!" Tears were starting to form in Sakura's eyes. "Oh, Sakura. I'm sorry. I know how you feel about Syaoran, but it's been so long. Every time you think about him you always seem so sad. I just want you to be happy again." Tomoyo frowned and wished that she had never brought it up. "Hey guys wait up!" Jake came around the corner and stopped to catch his breath. "I... was... going... to... ask you... something..." "I'm sorry about that Jake, I just needed to talk to Tomoyo in private for a minute." "Oh, yea. Sure." "So what did you want to ask, Jake?" "Well, I have tickets to go to Hong Kong for a couple of weeks. I asked Sapphire and Diamond already, but they said they were going to be busy for a while and suggested to ask the two of you. They said that you've been in Hong Kong before." "Uhh. Well, we have, but only for a short while. We were visiting someone there." "Oh. Well, I was wondering if the two of you would like to join me then, and maybe be a tour guide for me or something." Sakura and Tomoyo looked at each other. "We'd love to go! But we have to ask our parents first." "Oh, sure! Just let me know tomorrow then." "Okay!" "Well, we'd better get to class then." "Oh, I have to speak to Tomoyo first. You go on ahead." "Okay. See you in class." As soon as Jake was out of earshot,"Tomoyo, why did you say we'd be happy to go?!" "Sakura, think about it. If we go to Hong Kong, then you could see Syaoran again!" 'See Syaoran?' Sakura's face brightened as they headed for class.

Above in the clouds a mysterious shadow stood looking down upon the clow mistress. "It's nearly time for you to become my evil queen, CardCaptor Sakura." He signals his loyal followers to get ready for their journey. 'You will join us soon my dear.'

"Kaho. I see you can sense that trouble is coming." "Yes Eriol." A curious Nakuru asks, "Master, what will we do?" "Nakuru, Spinel Sun, Kaho go and get ready. We will head to Hong Kong and meet with Syaoran." 'I hope this isn't what I think it is. Or else Sakura will be in danger. I must warn Syaoran.' "When do we leave?" "Tomorrow at dawn."

Chapter 1 of my very first fanfic is finally done. ^_^ Looks like our Clow Mistress has another admirer... hehe... What's going to happen? Who are the mysterious people in the clouds? I would like to hear some comments please. I know it's a little rough, but I'll try to make it better along the way. I'll try to finish the story soon enough.
