| I went to my doctors apt at 34 wks, i had planned to beg him to set a date that we could have the c-section. Sitting there in his office feeling misrible he tells me i should wait 2 more wks HAHAHA. Anyway he sends me down to L&D for a stress test that takes about an hour. Well they hook up the machine and the nurse procedes to tell me i'm having braxton hicks. Okay nifity i'd been having those for wks, after about 30 min she comes back in and looks at the monitor, HUH, the Braxton Hicks were about 2 min apart regulary, so she calls the doctor and about that time my back starts hurting although it had been for the past two days. Its hurting everytime the machine show BH contractions, so the Doc comes in and announces i'm in labour and I have 45 mins before they do the c-section. So mom and i start calling family, i call travis and tell him he has 45 min, funny b/c he was 45 min away and it was rush hour. Megan my niece is the first to arrive and then Jennifer Devons wife and then my Dad still no Travis. Just as there wheeling me into delivery room Travis pulls into the parking lot he makes it into the room just as they begin. The medicine they gave me ( a spinal ) made me really sick but then all of a sudden we here a small cry and Elizabeth is born. Travis takes her to the nursery and then Leah is born. They finish with me and i go to recovery. They come in and tell me that Lizzy is fine but Leah has to be taken to the childrens hospital down town her lung was collapsed. 4 hours after they were born the nurse snuck in lizzy for me to see for 1 min I didn't get to see Leah till 3 days later. Thankfully both girls came home within 2 wks and they are doing great now. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
