Here are just a few of my more interesting My Little Pony memories:
You'll see in the "my herd" section of the Scrapbook that I have the magenta Satin 'n Lace. Well, she's perfect except that she's missing her forelock. See, my best friend (Lindsey) and I couldn't get her veil to sit on her haid straight, so we lopped it off... can you believe that?!?

I don't really remember getting the Apple Delight Family, but I just remember thinking how stupid it would be to call them all "Daddy Apple Delight" or whatever... so I renamed them all! Daddy is "Tree", Mommy is "Apple" and Baby is "Appletree". Okay, so not very original, but oh well.

My good friend Laura and I used to play ponies a lot! We liked to play school, actually. So we made our own little pony-sized books out of construction paper, typing paper and a staple. Pony pencils were made out of half of a round toothpick!

Another good friend of mine, Lindsey, and I would play ponies too. She was more into Briars at the time, but we still had a good time. We had a pony carnival once where we painted pony toe nails and gave them "extra" symbols made of lipstick and lipliner.
Flash forward ten years: I go to unearth my ponies after rediscovering my passion. Guess who still has carnival makeup on? Sky Rocket had extra blush and lipliner squiggles. Milky Way had red hoof polish. And my hallowed Glory had this weird J-shaped design on her nose. I bet there were others, but that was over a year ago and I think I'm getting senile...

I wanted Scribbles soooooo bad when I was younger! I used to sit in my room and just stare at her picture in the pamphlet I had. I only have the order form part of the pamphlet now and here's why: I packed up all the money, horseshoe points, the order form and addressed the envelope. I then promptly LOST the whole thing! I was devistated. Four or five years later I found it again. I was delighted to find the money (around $8 I think), but sad at realizing I never sent off for poor Scribbles.

I can clearly see in my mind the pony shelves at the old Lionel Toys here where I live. The neat part is that they were ALL Princess ponies! My mother gave me an allowence that I had to save up to by ponies. I think I got around $3 a week or $5 every two weeks or something. Ponies were just about $10 at the time. It would've been around 1987ish I think. They were always on an "end-cap", which is the shelves they stuck on the end of the isles.
