Here's a list
of all the My Little Pony related causes that I support. There are a few that
I don't support and those are not listed here. My site, my choice.
Now
here's a cause I truly support - paying less for ponies! Ponies Fighting For
a Cheaper World (PFFCW) is a group of ponies dedicated to keeping pony price
inflation down. Many of the members of PFFCW don't use eBay and other auction
sites at all.
Here's
another cause I'm quite passionate about. I think the banner says it all about
the new My Little Pony line. In case you haven't heard, there are a fair number
of people who are very opposed to the new line of ponies, and I'm not
one of them! Support Pony Acceptance - hate is not a pony value. Just click
on that banner, then look for the drop-down menu on the upper right of the
page. Look for "SPA Campaign," choose it, then click the Explore
button.
Similar
to SPA, Equality Among Equines is all about cutting the new ponies some slack.
The point is made that discrimination doesn't really belong anywhere.
I
don't know why some people have a problem with the concept of "If you
can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." It's a problem
the pony community is working on. T.A.C.T.: Truth, Appreciation, Care and
Tact. Just click on this banner, then look for the drop-down menu in the upper-right
corner of the page. Click and look for the "TACT Campaign" and hit
the Explore button.
P.A.I.N.
(Ponies Against Image Nabbing) is a very popular cause that relates specifically
to the Internet. The pony community knows too well the pain of finding one's
customized graphics on someone else's site. Please read my rants
for more about this cause. Register your pony graphics with P.A.I.N.
L.I.N.K.
(Liberators of Images Needlessly Kidnapped) is the P.A.I.N. equal for free
pic galleries. L.I.N.K. members want you to remember to give the folks you
borrow pictures from a link back to their site.
This could
be really cool if a bunch of people got together online and off to celebrate!
International Pony Day was chosen for August 2nd since ponies started out
in 1982 (hence the 8/2). IPD 2002 is in the planning stage right now, so
go check it out and see how you can get involved.

After
receiving some VERY encouraging letters from Hasbro gurus, Moon Shadow has
started a campaign of sorts to bring My Little Pony back in the old molds
for the line's 20th anniversary, which'll be in 2002. Please sign her petition
and check out her contacts - write a letter!
You just gotta
love that graphic... P.O.O.P. is a newer campaign that I can say I support.
Yes, I do have a few MOC (mint, on card) ponies from the '80s that I keep around
for nostalgia, but I'm all about opening the new ones!
