Miracles Can and Do Happen |

This page is dedicated to my daughter Carye. She is a miracle. On March 23, 2000 she was hospitalized with Meningococcal Meningitis complicated by also having Meningococcal Septicemia. She was on life support for15 days, intensive care for 22 days, Dialysis for 7 1/2 weeks and hospitalized for 28 days. She survived against all the odds. Carye has no brain damage, hearing loss, eye problems or disfigurement. She regained kidney function and no longer requires dialysis. She is Happy, Healthy and Our Joy. God is so Good. Believe and Trust in Him and miracles CAN and DO happen. This is also a page of Thanks to the thousands of people known and unknown to us, that Prayed for my daughter and our family. We are eternally grateful. Through this hard time, many people, ones I didn't even know, offered support, prayers and shoulders to cry on. There is still HOPE for us. |

We often wonder how we got through all of this and the answer is simple. GOD's strength and power. We turned it over to HIM and He took over. When there seemed to be no hope, He performed the impossible. When I was at the end of my rope, HE gave me the strength I needed, through prayer or sending someone to me, that helped me in one way or another. Friends from near and far supported us, Churches all over the country prayed for Carye. GOD answers all prayers, we were just blessed to get the Miracle we were asking for. I Thank HIM for that everyday. |

Through God's great mercy and Kindness, my child is still with me. I am grateful everyday for His gift to me. I will strive to be worthy. We have been given a wonderful gift this year, Carye and her sister Shawna met and our family has grown by leaps and bounds.

Smiles now replace the Tears that flowed
in abundance for the time my Carye was ill. We give Hugs by the Millions she says. We often take for granted that we have tomorrow. Our lives were forever changed in the blink of an eye. Never again will we overlook the "little" things. Every moment is cherished. So many Children have died or been forever changed from this horrible illness. Our hearts and prayers are with them and their families. We are Blessed to still have our ANGEL. There is a vaccine we never knew about, that might have prevented this, Talk to your Doctor.

We have come so far over the last 2 years. Many hurdles have been cleared. We have so much to be thankful for - renewed relationships and brand new relationships. We are especially grateful to have been welcomed into Carye's sisters family and are honored to call them our family. We love Shawna, Grandma, Pop Pop, Aunts and Uncles and cousins like they had always been part of us. Carye and her Dad have a wonderful relationship with the added bonus of another Grandma, Grandpop, and more Aunts, Uncles and Cousins that we are so happy to call them family. Carye is so loved and loves every one of them back. God had a specific purpose for her survival and this year we have seen so many good things happen. |

We thank everyone, family and friends, that have supported us, prayed for us and loved us Nothing could have prepared us for what happened but with God's strength and the prayers and support of many, we have survived. A little burnt around the edges but WE'RE STILL HERE!!!! |
