| Out of the Darkness |
| Here I sit all alone, Patiently waiting by the phone. Darkness is closing all around, As I sit here on the ground. Figures move in the night, Hiding in the shadows out of sight. More frightened I become, Seeing nowhere I can run. Figures moving closer still, Run I must but I have no will. From the darkness a light appears, Two arms surround me and quiet all my fears. A face I cannot see, But how these arms they comfort me. All around me bright and warm, The shadow takes human form. A man in a long dark coat, A lump forms in my throat. Who could this stranger be?, His face I cannot see. As he reaches out his hand, I do not fear this strange man. His hands warm in mine, I feel love divine. This man who came out of the night, Has sent my heart a flight. As he looks into my eyes, I feel my feet begin to rise. His eyes look into my soul, Does he know my heart he stole? As the sun sheds it's light, Was that a dream I had last night? As I wake, no it seems, The wonderful man is lying next to me. By: Katrina |
