Gilley Girls Dancing Greyhounds
Inviting the Girls to Your Next Event
Home
The [Singing and] Dancing Greyhound Comedy Show is a volunteer group.  Our goals are to educate and entertain.  Although we are primarily a dog resource, we do venues such as pet fairs, state fairs, humane societies, schools, hospitals, rehabilitation centers or senior centers, RV rallies, Founders Days, libraries, churches, store and car dealership openings, mall entertainment, etc.  (See our Tour History Page for references.)

We are the only troupe providing a mobile, full-service "Greyhound Infotainment Center" to help you raise funds for your organization, spice up your picnics, reunions, fun days or info-tain the younger generation.  Full service includes: Dancing Greyhound Comedy Shows, seminars on No Fear/No Pain Methods of Discipline, Do Your Own Dog Dentals, Introduction to Fostering, Problem Solving round tables and other dog-related subjects, with as much question-and-answer time as you like.  For youth groups or schools we have a special presentation on dog safety and reading canine body language, while the Girls provide comic relief in the back ground.  We do nail clipping clinics at Greyhound gatherings.

Tailor a program to your needs.  Our shows run from eight minutes and shorter to 45 minutes and longer.  Our seminars need at least an hour with extra time for Q&A. (However, we only sing for Greyhound and Basset groups.) You may invite us for as many events as our schedule allows.

If you need help transporting, assistance with clean up afterwards, or judging contests, we will work to make your event happen, start to finish.

We do not charge a fee for our services; this is what we are doing with our retirement years.  We are on a fixed income from a single government pension; our policy is, "We don't charge you and you don't charge us."

We have three requirements:
1. A statement you have no anti-racing agenda or other canine political issues.
2. An area 15 feet wide by 30 feet long to perform, preferably concrete, asphalt or a non-skid surface, indoors or out.  (We can do less area. Notify us in advance if slick floors.) We have our own ring set-up.
3. A no-cost area to park our home and car carrier for the night prior to your event and the night of the event.  We do not drive after dark. A parking lot, with owner permission is fine. No privately-owned campgrounds, please. We are fully self-contained. Our height is 12 feet; look out for low branches/electric lines.  Our total length is 52 feet.  The Girls climate-controlled dressing room that transports them to the venue is 32 feet. (See our rig on the Home Page.)

We accept donations. A burger or beverage at your event is nice.  Other donation ideas are gift cards, Purina ProPlan Performance or treats for the Girls.  Financial contributions welcome.

It does not matter if your event is large or small, dog related or not.  Please check our Tour page for dates and route. With gasoline prices what they are, we have to conserve like never before.

Note to Greyhound Groups:  We will not become involved in political agendas or local rivalries.  We promote the adoption of Greyhounds and want humans and dogs to live in harmony. Therefore, we accept invitations from pro-Greyhound racing or neutral groups only.  If your intent in inviting us is to cause dissension or involves animal rights organizations, we respectfully decline.
