Unlike most Greyhounds, she seemed to have a tail possessed by evil spirits. She would lash herself so hard with it she would cry out. Not only did she terrorize the rest of the family in short order, but she broke the darned thing twice. The first time was 12 Apr 05. She broke it again, one joint below the splint on 20 May 05. I have the radiographs to prove it! This put quite a crimp in the exploration of her personality. Every time I even spoke to her, that tail became hysterical. For a while there, Golden thought her name was �Quit Whangin� Dat Sucker!� She whacked a framed award from the Sandy Paws folks. We thought it was covered with Plexiglas; it was not. In August, her life began to move again. The splint was removed, she somehow exorcized the demons from that demented appendage and made her debut performance early the next month for the Team�s DVM, Dr. Barr, at Northern Lights Greyhound Adoption�s picnic.
Golden is one of the fastest Greys we have ever had, both mentally and physically. Nevertheless, she is a blonde in more than just color.
