| "The Adventures of Kat and Clara" Epilogue Kat (b. 860), two months after returning to Trillan, turned 22 years of age. When asked by King Jervin about what she preferred in her lifetime, she simply asked to retain her Guardianhood and requested that she continue living and residing in Trillius. Additionally, she asked that she accompany Hermione on her trips across the ocean when they were in order; Jervin happily granted her wishes. While at home in Trillius, Kat continued her friendly relationships with everyone she knew, especially Clara. She also continued a happy, romantic relationship with Hermione. At the same time, her diary, with her consent, was placed on display in the palace for all to see. Clara (b. 860), only days after returning, was ordained as a priestess of S'Allumer and given a great deal of acclamation as both a religious woman and a virtuous fighter. Shortly after, she was given the title of Guardianette Clara, Priestess of S'Allumer, and given a special gift from Jervin and Ophelia. The gift was a carapace worn over her cape, containing two great banners: one, the flag of Trillan; the other, the flag of Lamuth. She was also given the regalia of clergy, worn in place of her peasant-styled purple dress, which was later placed on display in the palace. Salem (b. 857) was distrought that Clara's entry into priesthood left him unable to marry her. Regardless, he still revealed his feelings for her, which she warmly received and respected. He remained living in Trillan among his friends and fellow Guardians, where he has patrolled the villages ever since. Hermione (b. 855) soon turned 27 years of age. Being five years the elder of her lover, Kat, didn't matter to her, however; she put aside her age difference with her lover and maintained a beautiful relationship with her. She also continued to sail the Covenant across the vast oceans, with Kat at her side, sort of as her first mate. She also hired a new loyal crew of 13 young men, who remained devoted to her and attentive to their duties aboard her beautiful ship. She still kept her crystal fighting chain, but always had a more subtle dagger gartered to her right thigh at all times. Isengrim (b. 816, d. 890) and Erma (b. 824, d. 893) returned to the Valley of Fate, where they had lived for most of their lives. They rarely visited Trillan, but Salem would make a long trip to visit them at his foster home. The clerical husband and wife couple would live happily together until the year 890, when Isengrim passed away at the age of 73. His wife lived alone for three more years until she died in 893 at the age of 68, only five weeks before her 69th birthday. Keilich (b. 821, d. 905), instead of returning to his church outside of Lamuth, instead was given a home, and a church in which to conduct his services, in Trillius. He was also given noble standing as an advisor to Jervin, claiming the title of Keilich, Shaman of S'Allumer, Royal Religious Advisor of Trillan. He and Clara each worked and preached together until his dying day in the year 905, when he was 83 years old, surprisingly longer than he was expected to live. Clara performed his funeral, one in which over 300,000 people attended. Relnor (b. 830), then 52 years old, returned to the mountain range to live with Ivy (b. 826), who was only 28 years old, the age she was when she disappeared. His life was overwhelmingly solitary; he and Ivy had no children, but instead studied together and wrote great volumes about theology and the travels of Kat and Clara. Their writing soon became popularized in their mountain village; the story of Kat and Clara also became something of a children's story. Jervin (b. 852) and Ophelia (b. 859), freshly reunited, maintained order and authority in Trillan as king and queen. In the year 884, almost two years after the return of Kat and Clara, Ophelia gave birth to her first child, a boy who they named Jervin II. They also discovered the somewhat private romantic relationship between Kat and Hermione and recognized and celebrated it as one would a marriage. The township of Lamuth and the country of Trillan soon mended their historic differences early in 883, only five months after Kat and Clara returned to Trillan. As part of their new found peace and happiness, Clara continued to wear the flags of both establishments on her decorative carapace and Trillanian establishments soon began to display both flags publicly.
