| Epilouge Immediately following Rathkanar's cremation, which was performed for the first time in cat warrior society, Lanom and Gamer ordered an exhumation of Mari's body. They dug her decayed corpse out of the shallow grave the corrupted king had dug out for her, then gave her an astonishing, lavish funeral, burying her in a different spot in a fine casket. Lanom and Gamer were unofficially considered the two govenors of the kingdom until a new king was found. They thought that they, personally, were in no shape or experience to lead so many cat warriors. No one would take the position of king; instead, people were in fear of a wave of chaos sweeping across their village. For a while, barely anything in the kingdom stirred; children rarely played in the forest together, no one would sell or trade their goods, and the community was essentially silent.
