8 months from where we last left off:
Pacey heard the loud crying before Joey. He got up quietly and went to the baby's room. He picked up Tyler Witter and rocked him gently in his arms.
"Sshh. It's okay. Daddy's here," Pacey cooed softly. The baby stopped crying and began to whimper. Pacey held him close and continued to talk to him.
Joey stood outside Tyler's bedroom door, listening to Pacey. She owed the world to him. He was so gentle and sweet with Tyler and loved him with all his heart.
She quietly walked into the room and put her hand on Pacey's shoulder. He turned to look at her and smiled broadly. She searched for the word to describe Pacey at that moment and came up with, proud. He was glowing.
"He's perfect, Joey. He's just perfect." Joey smiled. She looked at Tyler, sleeping soundly. Pacey placed him gently in his crib, letting his hand hang over the side, rubbing his tiny hand.
He looked up at Joey, and she saw tears in his eyes. She pulled him into a hug.
"I love you, Pacey." "I love you, Joey." He turned to the baby and said, "And I love you, too."
