Joey woke up to a noisy dorm room. Her roommate, who just happened to be a "party animal," was already blasting music.
"Can you turn that down a little, please?" Joey whined.
Karen, one of her new friends, nodded in agreement. She obviously wasn't enjoying the music either.
Lauryn, the "party animal," rolled her eyes and turned the volume down a notch.
"So, Joey. I saw you talking to that hot guy last night. How did you get up the nerve?" Lauryn asked.
Joey shook her head. "You saw me and you didn't even come over to say hi? I was looking for you."
Lauryn shrugged. "Sorry. Now, back to the cute guy."
Joey struggled to remember. "Who? Oh yeah. Pacey. I used to be a good friend of his. He moved away when we were in high school."
Karen cut in. "So what happened? You didn't sleep with him did you?"
Joey laughed. "No! Of course not. He was drunk. So I told him that I didn't want to talk to him."
"Well, if you don't want to talk to him, can you introduce us?" Lauryn asked. Joey gave her a death stare and Lauryn threw her hands up defensively. "Fine, fine. Just don't look at me like that."

Pacey awoke with a start. He looked at the clock and quickly remembered that it was Saturday.
"Thank god," he breathed. Instantly he was hit with a headache and a stomachache to match. He groaned and realized that he was also very thirsty.
"That's what you get, Pacey," his roommate Jason pointed out cheerfully as Pacey staggered towards the bathroom. "You gotta lay off the beer for a while."
Pacey held up his hand to get Jason to stop talking. "Not so loud, man. I've already got a headache."
Tim entered the room at the last comment. "Serves you right. I just hope you didn't throw up on that girl Joey."
Pacey's eyes grew wide while he tried to remember if he had or not. He exhaled a sigh of relief when he figured out that he hadn't.
"Eggs?" Jason offered. Pacey shook his head and quickly sprinted for the bathroom.

Pacey later walked into the crowded college library. He spotted an empty table and sat down. Just as he began to read his philosophy textbook an attractive girl sat down next to him. She looked familiar, but Pacey had no idea what her name was.
"Hi, Pacey," the girl said. Pacey greeted her, but soon found himself focusing on her large breasts.
"Right?" Pacey snapped to attention.
"Huh?" The girl smirked.
"I knew you weren't paying attention. I bet you don't even remember who I am."
Pacey blushed. "Well....."
"That's what I thought. You know what? You're a real pig, Pacey. I was going to thank you for the good time the other day. But now I won't bother."
She got up and hurried away.
"Nicole!!" Pacey cried. But he was too late. "Damn it."

Joey strolled into the college library and saw Pacey leafing through a text book.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't Pacey Witter. I'm surprised you were able to climb out of bed this morning."
Pacey looked up at her. She noticed the dark circles under his eyes and his pale skin. He looked as though he had been to hell and back.
"I'm just as surprised as you are." Joey laughed. Pacey managed a smile. Joey thought he seemed....older. Broken in and all that. He certainly wasn't the Pacey she remembered.
"So, tell me, Pacey, do you enjoy vomiting in front of old friends?"
This time Pacey didn't smile. He glared at her angrily.
"Screw you, Joey. I'm really not in the mood." He looked back to his book, ignoring her. She shook her head.
"Fine. I know I told you last night to call me when you were sober. I changed my mind. Don't ever call me."
With that she got up and left.
"Twice in one day. Must be the season of the witch."
