~ Yesterday ~

You know that I love you,
That will never change.
It saddens me to know,
Your heart dont feel the same.
I would never beg or even ask you to try,
To love me,As I you,
Through the changes of time.
You have given me something
I will never forget.
You gave my life a meaning,
My heart some tenderness.
You showed me to care,
For reasons right or wrong.
And that within every being,
There is a sacred song.
You touched me in many ways,
That I will never understand.
I wish I could share with you,
the dreams that I have.
I can only be thankful,
For that one moment in time.
Where our paths once met,
And your eyes met mine.
Though I will never be able,
To love you as I would like.
I wish you much happiness,
Through your path of life.
You will remain a memory,
Your spirit free and strong.
I wish you so much love,
and in my heart you'll carry on.
