*The USA Basketball announced that Katie has been selected as one of the seven players named as core members for the 2004 USA Basketball Women's senior National Team, which is expected to represent the United States at the 2004 Olympic Games.
*Katie will be returning to Ohio State as a Student assistant in the womans basketball office. She will be taking classes in preparation for application to Dental school. She will assist in the daily operational aspects of the office, among other responsibilities.
Tamika Williams will also be going to Ohio State to be a assistant coach to the womans basketball team.
*Katie made her 4th consecutive year in the 2003 All-WNBA First team by Bud Light. She will recieve $10,000.00!
*Lavender Magazine has named Katie Smith most outstaning female athlete for 2003. They also named the Minnesota Lynx most outstanding Professional Minnesota Sports Team.
