About Me!
Howdy! I am Katie Lara Lane a senior agriculture science major graduating in May 2008 from Texas A&M University. I am from Terrell which is about 30 miles east of Dallas. I grew up on a farm and love living in the country. I was raised around cattle and even showed heifers in high school. I was very involved in my FFA chapter in high school and served as vice president twice and president once. Upon graduation I came to Texas A&M where I have greatly enjoyed my college career. I joined Sigma Alpha, a professional agriculture sorority where I served as treasurer and president. I will student teach in the spring of 2008 and expect to have an awesome semester full of stress, learning experiences and great memories. After I graduate I plan to enter the education field; at this time I am not sure what level I will teach at. I had some amazing teachers who left a huge impact on my life throughout my academic career and I plan to follow in their footsteps. I believe that all children should be made to feel special and unique and be provided with the best learning opportunities available. I have had a life changing experience at A&M and will never forget all the people that I have met and memories that have been made. I have learned a lot about life, friends and myself and look forward to be an active influence in the lives of our youth.
