Students will break into pairs
and be given a set of memory game cards. They will play two games: 1. Each team will be competing
against the other teams in the class. Place all date/title cards in order.
When the teacher gives the key to start, students will put the
events/description in chronological order. This is a race! 2. The teams will mix up their
cards and place them face down. Each student will take a turn and flip over 2
cards. They are trying to match the events with the date they occurred.
(Similar to the Memory game we played as kids) |
Arrange
students in pairs and give them a set of cards. The cards will be used for
both games. There will be a either a date or an event written on each card. Teacher
will explain the first game, students will complete it and then the second
game will be explained and played. E-moment:
Jeopardy moment. Although this game isn’t jeopardy it is very similar and
will affect the students in the same way. |

Summarize Objectives: Today we discussed some of
the important events that have occurred in the FFA’s history. Ask Students: What do
you believe to be the most important event and why? Why do you think it is
important to be aware of the history of our organization? What would the FFA be
like today without all or some of these events? QUIZ: 15
questions. 5 T/F, 5 Matching, 5 put-in-order |
Teacher will summarize
the lesson and lead some in-class conversation which will help students think
about the lesson on a deeper, more meaningful level. Quiz: Pass out “History
of FFA” quiz to all students. E-moment: Show what you
know moment. |
