C.
Lesson
Activities: After reading guide questions have been discussed teacher will
hand out activity eight. This activity will be done as a class. Teacher will
read directions aloud while students
follow along on their handouts. Teacher should ask students for examples of the
two different kinds of conflict from books or movies they are familiar with.
When activity has been explained the teacher should put the overhead of
activity eight on the projector and begin the activity. When teacher reads
question students may answer as they know the answers without raising hands, as
long as order in the class is maintained. When all answers have been given and
activity has been completed teacher will read aloud, as students follow along
in their books, chapter eleven stopping for any questions or unfamiliar words.
D. Culminating Activity: Students should complete second part of activity eight for homework and bring both parts of activity to next class to be handed in.
IV. Closure: Teacher
will go over reading guide questions for chapter eleven. At this time students
may ask any questions about activities done in class, the novel, or the
homework assignment.
