These yellow people are the "mascots" for a flower garden.

Who'd have thought sumo wrestlers were so flexible?? These were taken at a class for elementary school kids to learn how to sumo with the big boys...very entertaining indeed...
and this would be paper sumo - kids make wrestlers out of cardboard and set them on wooden boads balanced on some chairs - each team shakes their side of the board and tries to knock over the other's wrestler - it's quite popular as you can see the tv cameras in the back - here pooh bear takes out a kangaroo -
This way to the urinating angel...
through the window of an abandoned barber shop
on a cool bridge in the rain
I have no idea what this is.... - it was on the top floor of the sweets castle I mentioned in the journal...
I don't have a scanner so this is a slightly fuzzy cell phone photo of a photo - a group of lovely ladies I met at a parade -
a friendly koi
sometimes Japan makes me feel huge...
One of my favorite types of gum, "mint blue" - there's only one piece in a pack with this little dolphin on it -
a goat with guts - he likes to chill in the street on a daily basis and bleet at oncoming cars and pedestrians
I see this poaster all over town - They're either enthusiastic politicians or businessmen...hard to tell them apart -
while driving down Mt. Daisen, we encountered this HUGE group of "marathon walkers" coming towards us - took about 20 minutes to get through
