A Little of My Portfolio......
This photograph was taken by Lake Harriet in Minneapolis, MN when I was 11 years old. I was assigned to take an interesting picture for my summer school class. My mom and I went out that day to finish up my roll of film. Little did I know that I would capture something this beautiful. This was the first photography piece I had entered into a contest. Winning second place in the nation inspired me to go further with my interest in photography.

This is a picture I took at a pow-wow festival in Shakopee, MN. I actually went to this festival hoping for a good opportunity to take pictures. I saw this young boy dancing. I thought it was a particularily interesting photograph because of the half raised flag in the background. He was dancing in between two other native american women. This picture recieved 1st place at state from the PTSA.
I saw these cowboys when I went on a family vacation to Texas. We crossed over the border to Juarez, Mexico. If you haven't been there yourself, I will tell you that it is a very busy city and not very many tourists. It was an quite adventurous stop. I hesitated to take this picture because I was alone and didn't know what their reaction would be.

I took this photograph in April of 1999 on a family vacation to Southern France. While I was there, I saw a young boy who had such an incredible smile that I wanted to show people how amazing one smile can change your day. I also entered this into the annual PTSA contest and recieved 1st place at state and also the National Award of Merit.
