This photograph was taken in Princeton, MN near my Grandfathers turkey farm. The farmer as you can see is getting ready to plow his field. The tractor is an old model and looking at it as a black and white photo helps us look back at the past.

This photo was taken in New Zealand, while on a family vacation in the summer of 2000. I wanted to take a picture of this man, because of his interesting figure having a cane and glass eye. My mom and I have a "trick" to taking candid shots. I put on my telephoto lens and focus on my mom and quickly zoom into a different subject. But in this case it didn't work, he had figured out our plan and told us he felt like he was on "Candid Camera". I almost gave up there. But I didn't! I followed him and finally asked him if I may take his picture. He was very kind and allowed me to. (One thing good about being a young photographer is people aren't so intimidated about being photographed.) This recieved 1st place at state in the PTSA contest (for the 4th year) After that, my family continued our vacation, making memories along the way......

This is a sunrise taken in NewZealand while staying at a condominium. My dad looked out at the ocean from his balcony and noticed this incredible view. I quickly grabbed my camera and ran outside across the road, and stood on the freezing cold ground with no shoes or socks on. I waited for the perfect moment to take this picture, and rushed back to my warm bed!
These three beautiful flowers were taken on Dunc Island, Australia in a pond overlooking the peaceful ocean. It was so fun just relaxing by the pool and ocean, listening to the different bands and playing golf in the sun!
