My friend Jill was a very creative, intelligent person with a great sense of humor who shared my appreciation of frogs and was one of the most wonderful, caring people I have ever known.  She was a very supportive friend who among many things,  encouraged me to take classes to develop my photography skills.

She lost her battle to ovarian cancer in September of 1998 and in typical Jill fashion, she generously left money for me to buy a computer in the hope that I would learn to use Photoshop.  She felt that I would really enjoy enhancing my photographs and that I would have fun making greeting cards along with other artistic endeavors.

To honor her wishes, I enrolled in a night class at Long Beach City College in computerized graphic art, eventually bought a computer and continued in school taking classes in photography.

It has been a very positive and inspiring experience.  The instructors are very talented and down to earth people, and each one has taught me something new and opened my eyes to a different perspective.  Many of the pictures on this web site are a result of their assignments.

The photography lab at LBCC is great, also.  It's like the old sitcom "Cheers" only without the booze and instead of  people asking what are you drinking,  it's what are you shooting?  The cast of characters include people of all ages from all walks of life..

This web site came into existence because of my kind and generous  friend, Bonnie, who constantly bugged me to make one and taught me how.  She is a wiz on the computer, especially with all the art programs and has taught me many things that I would probably not have had the patience to learn otherwise.  She is and always has been way a-head of her time.

She was the first person I ever knew who got her nose pierced and she did it many moons ago before it ever became a popular trend.  In fact, back then it was a big deal to pierce your ears and most of the men who did were gay.  Check her out, she is
