Blue (Flycatcher)- January 2000

I reached into blue
and found
whispers trembling like a secret
Rife with echoes of possibility
He caught me like a butterfly

And he's the one Adonis forgot
Just the flycatcher was enough.

Woven with silent moments
More thunderous than heartbreak
He tangles my throat, and I smile
Tasting his words like raindrops.

I never dreamed in someone's voice before
Or felt fairies dancing
Like popcorn in my stomach.
Of all the Princes
I want the flycatcher.

I fell into blue
I'm blinking still
In this azure light...
