France, Chaminix and Mont Blanc
We had a great couple of days at Chamonix. The home of  Mont Blanc and the heart of the French Alps. Matt rode his bike there with a mate form work  and Katie travelled by train with a couple of work friends. We then met up in Chamonix for a night on the town and a visit to the Midi 3800m (The heighest lift in Europe) and the starting point for the Mont Blanc climb (See the Mont Blanc page). We also stocked up on some cheap French wine.
The ride to Chamonix started at 5.10AM and took 5.5hours covering 120 Km and 1500 vertical metres in height gain. We also had a fantstic 800m height lost reaching sppeds of over 70kmh.
