| The Meaning of Life!! The Meaning of Life: John Paul II said that we're the ones responsible for giving our lives meaning.So what's that supposed to mean? Does that mean we can just pick something & it'll give us fulfillment?No,"Missing our purpose means never discovering in ourselves the capacity for solidarity & for good." Where does this come from?It comes from out relationship with Jesus Christ.I once read in a book that when we were created God put a little "God Shaped Hole" in us.Which is a empty nothingness deep down in the depths of the heart.I know people who try to fill this void with boyfriends, work,drinking, & we're only teens.None of those things fit in the hole, none of those will make us happy in the long run. " When the tenth year of partying or the tenth girlfriend doesn't get rid of the emptiness any more than the first,we may start to relize that there must be more somewhere."So,Why are we here?What's the point of all this? John Paul II said "to fail to ask these basic questions is to miss the great adventure of the search for the truth about life" but this life is only a "trial run".What's the meaning of THIS life? To get to the next,our eternal life in Heaven where we will be truely happy of course!! Not an easy task I know but it's sounds worth it to me!
