This is like the Snickers Bar of books,it's only 58 pages but it's full of interesting stuff! It explains what purgatory is,Why people go there,sins that lead there,etc.. I like this book because it talks about a subject the isn't normally addressed & when mentioned it's not often explained.It also contained an interesting interview by the auther with a women who is visited by souls in puragtory & prays for them. The Journals of Rachel Scott by Debra Klingsporn.Writen like a first person narrative from the point of view of Rachel Scott this book really took you inside the young martyrs head.It was so inspirational!! Every Christian teenager should read this remarkable book.Rachel faced problems just like the rest of us,depression,bad habits,peer pressure,she wasn't perfect but she died for Christ & maybe more impornatly she lived for Christ! **** AWESOME!!!!!! You Have to read it! The Incredible Gift the truth about love & sex by Mr.& Mrs. Kiser.(Or something like that!!) This is an awesome book!!!! It answers all those gotta know questions like "How far is too far?" & the whole birth control thing(pretty much the stuff you can't ask a real person about out of fear of uncomfortable laughter) **** I know you wanna read this!!! Rythem of Life By Matthew Kelly. A little hard to get into at first but really worth it! This book is filled with the usual cute stories & personal insights that makes Matthew Kelly so interesting. *** SO COOL! This Present Darkness by Frank E. Peretti. WOW!!! The book is long! I'll admit but once you get into it you are totally addicted! What's not to love? It's got Angels, Demons, realilistic characters that you can understand, hidden mystery in a small town, spiritual warfare, & it gives you a interesting look at the power of prayer while still suppling a edge of your seat,nail biting, adventure!! **** AWESOME!!! (thanks Beth for loaning this 1 to me!) Much Ado About Nothing And With this book I take back every bad thing I said about Shakespear when I was forced to read Romeo & Juliet!! This book was sooooooo funny!! Mainly because these 2 ppl Beatrice & Benedick, they like each other but they will not admitt to it! They are soooo horrible to each other you can't help but laugh!! It wasn't even a mushy story!! I love it! *** Go Shakespear! Real Love By Mary Beth Bonnacci. She is becomming one of my favorite authors. This book was about dateing, & marriage, sex, and stuff. It's a collection of real questions teens have asked and it gives answers that make you think. **** Every teen should read this. |
