When we returned to the farm, we all got pics in front of the white barn. We got the whole gang, the work groups, and the people we came down with. We had some free time before dinner so everyone knew where I was... The Porch Swing! I loved it. So I sat there and talked with people, some people sat down next to me, some just stood there. Dinner and then prayer followed. I went to the store and bought a bandanna and a sharing cross. Then I gathered a big group to go star gazing again cause you don't get stars like that where I live. I shared a blanket with Kelly, and we had some much needed girl talk. And I'm not writing about that.. if you want to ask, I MIGHT tell you. ;)  She gave me some advice that I took with serious consideration. I guess I am just like she is when she was in high school. We have the same tendancys when it comes to that kind of thing. When Jana drove her truck out to tell us lights out, we trooped up to the O'Conner room, and I sat and talked with Jeff and Kelly, and then gave out "mean back massages" as Dillon calls them. Lol.
The next morning, Jana's wake up call was wind chimes and a bottle. I almost didn't hear them. She had woken us up at 6 so we had enough time for everything. We had a very moving prayer, and I was in tears. The Christ Clown really got to me. So then we packed up our vans and had breakfast. It was sad that it was our last day there. I knew that I would probably not get a chance to see these people that I had lived with and loved hanging with for a while. The last parking lot prayer was almost surreal. I couldn't believe that my week was over. It didn't seem like that much work, and the experience had changed my life. The staff told us we were always welcomed back home for another week or even for a visit. We got last minute pics after that and hugged everyone tightly, and said goodbye to the Farm.
So! My adventure had ended. We pulled out of the parking lot into the driveway and the staff stopped our car. They did the banana cheer. Allison jumped into the back of our van, and Josh jumped halfway into my window! It was kinda freaky, but still silly at the same time. And then we were off. We listened to music and talked until we stopped at Wendys for lunch. Then Kelly took my shotgun seat, Jeff drove, so me and David were in the first bench seat. Hope had put in her Frank Sinatra CD, and we were singing Thats Amore' and Lady Luck. Half way through Lady Luck, I fell asleep. When I woke up, David was using me as a pillow. I was kinda lost.. I didnt know where I was or when david put his head on me. Then Kelly realized that I was awake and she said "Oh you two were so cute sleeping, that I took a picture!" Immediately, I was like... "Oh I hope I wasnt drooling." cause when Katie doesnt get enough sleep, her subconsious mind doesnt think about not drooling. We pulled up into the QAC parking lot, and blared "Country Roads" and honked our horn. Our familys came running outside and we jumped out of the van to go hug them. Jeff realized that he had left the address list at the farm on one of the other cars. When I told my parents that I said, "Jeff left the address list at home." And they both looked at me weird. I couldn't believe that I had said that! But it still felt good.

"Country Roads Take me Home to the Place I belong. West Virginia Mountain Momma, Take me Home, Country Roads."

I'd like to thank all my friends from Naz Farm that I made that I hope to stay in touch with for a long time, and a special thanks to Jeff and Kelly for taking me there. YOU ALL MADE IT WORTH IT! -with love, Katie H-
