Newcomer Sarah Ann King will help the Vikings with her 400 meter specialization. Eva Gordon will run the 800, while Doran Mabry and Nicole Degner will run the 1,200 and 1,600, respectively. On the men’s side, four Vikings will compete in individual events. David Kawa is entered in the 5,000 meter race. Teammates Ryan McClay and Chris Rodriguez will both compete in the 3,000 meter race, and Adam Newton will run the 800 meters. While host ETSU and several other NCAA Division I schools will compete, several NAIA schools will also take part in the event, including the 2005 men’s cross country team champion Virginia Intermont. ETSU’s Memorial Center will also host the NAIA Indoor National Championships on March 9-11. This meet not only offers the Vikings experience and preparation for the national meet, but a chance to qualify based on time standards. ...berryvikings...
