As "our  day" becomes closer

Some doubts fill my  mind,

Will your love remain true ...

As our lives intertwine ?

Do you promise to cherish me

In joy and in sorrows

Not just today, but...

For all the tomorrows?

In sickness or in health

Do you find in your heart

To love me forever

Until death us do part?

Do you vow to be faithful

With body and mind

And promise to leave

Old memories behind?

With your ring as a token

And faith as a pledge

Will you keep all your vows

Made the day that we wed?

When my face becomes lined

And my hair turns to gray

Will you still be in love

As you were on that day?

Believing in each other

With symbolic gold rings

Do you make the promise

To endure whatever life brings?

From this day forward

Will your love remain true

Forsaking all others

When you whisper “I do”?
